Data deletion

Last updated:

This document is a draft. Items in brackets are still to be decided, and the text may change before launch.

You can delete your data whenever you want. Here's how, what gets deleted and how long it takes.

Delete your account and all your data

  • Sign in to Briott and go to Settings → Account → Delete my account.
  • Confirm with the 6-digit code we email you.

If you pay for a plan, we cancel it right then and there are no more charges. If you're the only owner of a team with other people in it, email us first to hand it over to someone.

If you can't sign in, email hola@briott.app from your account's email address with the subject “Delete my data.” We'll confirm by email once it's done.

What gets deleted, and when

  • Immediately: we stop publishing and delete your account and, for the brands only you use, your business data, generated content, metrics, what we learned from your comments and your connected accounts with their access tokens. From a team with other people in it, only you leave.
  • Over the following days: your material (photos, videos, documents), generated files and the saved sessions of your private area.
  • Backups: deleted within the following 30 days.
  • Invoices: kept for as long as the law requires.
  • What the work done for you cost us with our providers (AI tokens and amounts) stays in our books, with nothing that identifies you.
  • Your help reports stay without your email or the technical details; if you want them deleted entirely, ask us.

Before you delete: take your things with you

In Settings → Account → Export my data you download a file with your profile, your brands and their strategy, every version of your pieces, what was published and how it did, what we learned from your comments, your credit movements and links to download your material and generated files (they work for 7 days).

Disconnect a network without deleting your account

In Briott: Settings → Connected accounts → Disconnect. We stop publishing to that network and delete its access token.

You can also remove access from each platform (menu names may vary):

  • Instagram and Facebook: in your account's apps and integrations settings.
  • TikTok: in Settings and privacy, under Security, in the list of apps with permissions.
  • X: in Settings, under Security and account access, in Apps and sessions.

If you remove Briott from Facebook, Instagram or TikTok

When you remove our app from the platform, the platform tells us: we stop publishing to that account and delete its access token right away. What you already published there and its results stay in your Briott account until you delete your account.

If you also ask Facebook or Instagram to delete your data from our app, they tell us and we delete that connection right away, with what we received from it: its posts, results and comments. To check the status of your request, email us at hola@briott.app.
